Accessibility Statement

Last updated: September 24, 2026

Found something that doesn't work for you? Write to us at info@calo.gr.

Our commitment

We want calo to work for everyone, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, larger text or less motion. This covers the calo app at calo.gr, including the installed app, for clients, dietitians and trainers.

Standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, the level set by the European standard EN 301 549 and the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882).

Where we are

calo meets most of WCAG 2.1 level AA, but not all of it yet, so it is partially compliant. What is still missing is listed below.

What we have done

  • Text is easy to read against its background, in both the light and the dark theme.
  • Every button has a name that screen readers read out, including buttons that show only an icon.
  • Everything works with the keyboard alone.
  • You can zoom the page as far as you need.
  • If your device is set to reduce motion, moving elements stop, Friday's face included.
  • Exercise videos come with the exercise's written steps.

What doesn't work fully yet

  • Exercise videos have no captions. Where a video has speech, the written steps are the text alternative for now.
  • Some charts show their exact values only when you hover over them or move focus to them.
  • Documents you or your professionals upload, such as blood test PDFs, are shown as they were provided and may not be accessible.

We are working to fix these.

How we checked

This statement is based on our own review of the app against WCAG 2.1 AA: automated checks and a measurement of every colour used for text. We will update it after testing with screen readers, and whenever the app changes significantly.
